How the AI image detector works
  1. Upload the image
  2. Analyze visible AI-style signals
  3. Read the result and confidence
Tip: scan the original file when you can. Screenshots still work, but they reduce image quality and can make the result less certain.
When to use it
  • Checking whether a viral image is AI-generated
  • Reviewing suspicious profile photos
  • Spotting altered or misleading screenshots
  • Checking whether AI art is being passed off as a real photo
What you get
  • An AI or Non-AI leaning outcome
  • A confidence score for the scan
  • A better way to decide whether an image looks real
No detector is perfect. Use this along with common sense and source checks.

AI Image Detector FAQ

Can you tell if a photo is 100% real?
No. We provide a likelihood score and explanation based on detectable image signals. Use it as evidence, not absolute proof.
Does metadata matter?
Sometimes. But many apps remove it when you share a photo. We mainly look at what’s in the image itself.
Will screenshots reduce accuracy?
Sometimes. A screenshot removes some detail, which can make an image harder to judge. When possible, scan the original file.
Do I have to sign up to scan?
The homepage includes a small free scan allowance. New accounts then start with 25 free tokens for full scanning.
